Code Blue 2 コード・ブルー2 (2010)



Synopsis
It has been one and a half years since Aizawa Kosaku, Shiraishi Megumi, Hiyama Mihoko and Fujikawa Kazuo were assigned to Shoyo University’s North Hospital. They have only three months left of their fellowship programme (specialised training programme) to be flight doctors and each of them have come to the crossroads where they have to think of their lives after graduation. Aizawa, who has only one relative – a grandmother currently in a nursing home, starts having doubts about his duties and cannot find a clear direction for his future. Meanwhile, Shiraishi Megumi is unable to forget the past. She had caused their former teacher, Kuroda Shuji, to have his right arm amputated. Then Tachibana Keisuke, a veteran flight doctor, takes up a new post. He has been put in charge of certifying the fellowship programme which will decide their future.

Team Batista Season 3 ~ Ariadone No Dangan ~ チームバチスタ3 アリアドネの弾丸 (2011)

Synopsis
A murder occurs inside a new MRI model in connection with the establishment of an Autopsy Imaging Centre at Tojo University Hospital which will help to determine the cause of death through the use of MRIs and CTs on any dead body. While investigating the truth, the pair of Taguchi Kohei and Shiratori Keisuke close in on the dark side of the sloppy autopsy system. Furthermore, Ikaruga Yoshimasa (Takahashi Katsunori), the head of the Metropolitan Police’s Information Office, and Associate Professor Sasai Sumire (Konishi Manami) of the hospital’s forensic medicine department oppose the centre’s establishment.

JIN 2 JIN-仁- (第2期) (2011)

Synopsis
It has been two years since Minakata Jin went back in time to the closing days of the Tokugawa shogunate. One day, Sakamoto Ryoma arrives from Kyoto to seek Jin’s help. Ryoma says Katsu Kaishu’s mentor, Sakuma Shozan, has been attacked by a group of samurai warriors, called the Shinsengumi, and is near death. However, Sakuma survives because of Jin’s fervent treatment. As a troubled Jin worries that his treatments may change the course of history, Sakuma tells him, “Save people without hesitation!” After that, Jin who had been treating the injuries of the people, is taken away by the Shinsengumi and asked to give Saigo Kichinosuke (later known as Saigo Takamori) medical attention, but...

At that moment, Sakamoto Ryoma comes up from Kyoto to enlist Jin’s help. Katsu Kaishu’s mentor, Sakuma Shozan, had sustained injuries in an attack by the Shinsengumi and is on the verge of death. Jin goes to Kyoto with Ryoma as he agonises whether he will radically alter history by saving an important person who will have an influence on the period. There, he sees Shozan who is so seriously injured that it would be a miracle if he lives. Shozan somehow escapes death through Jin’s frantic treatment and perseverance. Then Shozan regains consciousness, and shocking words come out from his mouth!

After that, Jin remains in Kyoto and concentrates on treating people injured in the war between the Choshu and Satsuma domains. One day, he is taken away to some place by the Shinsengumi who appear out of nowhere. Jin has been brought to the residence of Saigo Takamori in Satsuma domain. Saigo is suffering from appendicitis and needs to be operated on immediately or his life will be in danger...
 

JIN -仁- (2009)

Synopsis
The story follows a brain surgeon named, Minakata Jin, who has spent the last two years in anguish, as his fiancee lies in a vegetative state after an operation he performed. One day, he faints at the hospital and awakens to find himself transported back in time to the Edo period. He is soon attacked by a samurai, but he escapes with the help of a man named Kyotaro. Kyotaro suffers a serious injury to the head while trying to protect him, but Jin manages to save his life despite a lack of proper medical equipment. Because of that, Kyotaro's sister Saki begins taking an interest in Jin and becomes his assistant. Meanwhile, Jin is determined to find a way back to the present.

Bull Doctor ブルドクター (2011)

Synopsis
Tamami (Esumi Makiko) is a shrewd forensic pathologist who boldly acts according to her own convictions. She would do whatever it takes to reveal the truth behind the deaths of victims who have no voice, and pays no heed to the objections from those around her. But at home, she has trouble with household chores and communicating with her son, which makes her feel torn between work and family. Chika (Ishihara Satomi) is a career detective who does nothing at the police precinct. She wants success in work as well as marriage, but her life spins around in aimless circles. Even though the two of them face off each other over strange, unnatural deaths and get into conflicts because they are the least compatible, they unravel these mysteries as if they are speaking for the dead.
