Synopsis

Ueto Aya (25) is confirmed to be returning to Fuji TV in a sequel to the 2010 drama series “Zettai Reido.” While the previous series had the subtitle “Mikaiketsu Jiken Tokumei Sousa,” the new series is subtitled “Tokushu Hanzai Sennyuu Sousa.”

The original show starred Ueto as rookie detective Sakuragi Izumi, who worked on difficult unsolved cases as part of a Special Investigations Office (based on an actual division established by Japan in 2009). This time takes place half a year later, after Sakuragi has been transferred to a different division that deals with current crimes.

Zettai Reido ~ Mikaketsu Jiken Tokumei Sousa SP ~ 絶対零度 ~未解決事件特命捜査SP~ (2011)

Synopsis

Half a year has passed since Sakuragi Izumi (Ueto Aya) transferred to Hachioji Minami Precinct’s Violent Crimes Investigation Unit at the recommendation of her superior, Nagashima Hideo (Kitaoji Kinya). At that moment, an arson-related murder takes place at Bando Obstetrics Clinic in Hachioji. The dead bodies of Bando Ryohei (Yoshida Kotaro), the director of the clinic, and an unidentified male are found. From the gutted director’s office, it appears that the man had been set on fire after he was shot. On the other hand, Bando was discovered in another room. The cause of his death is carbon monoxide poisoning. Then, it is learnt that the bullet found from the body of the unidentified man, bears longitudinal rifling marks that matches the bullet used in the 1997 Hachioji Case which Shiraishi Shintaro (Nakahara Takeo) has continued to pursue. The criminal in the Hachioji Case and in the current case is suspected to be the same person. And so, the members of the Fourth Section of the Special Investigations Division are reassembled for a joint investigation of this arson-related murder, but...

Synopsis

Rookie detective Izumi Sakuragi (Aya Ueto) is assigned to the Special Investigations Office, a newly created office in the Metropolitan Police Department. The Special Investigations Office uses the latest in DNA analysis and forensics science to solve previously unsolved cases and missing person cases.

In the first episode, Izumi Sakuragi and partner Yuki Fukasawa (Tomomi Maruyama) are called to a crime scene where a woman's decayed body is found under a construction site. Clues then lead the team to connect the decayed body with an unsolved ¥3 million robbery case that occurred 10 years ago...

Young Black Jack ヤング ブラック・ジャック (2011)

Synopsis

The drama will be an original story about the past of the brilliant mercenary doctor Black Jack, during his days as a medical student. In particular, the story will address questions such as why Black Jack does not have a medical license, why he seeks such expensive fees for his services, and how he is connected to his fateful rival Dr. Kiriko.

On Christmas day, a bomb explodes in a shopping mall. The explosion was perpetrated by a serial bomber. A 9-year-old boy Kuro Hazama and his mother Mitsuko (Naho Toda) are seriously and transfered to a university hospital.

With the elite skills of surgeon Dr. Jontaro Honma (Masachika Ichimura), Kuro survives, but is shocked to learn his mother is in a coma. Dr. Honma tells Tokio that when medical science advances, Michiko might one day awake. Tokio decides then to become a doctor.

Synopsis

A murder occurs inside a new MRI model in connection with the establishment of an Autopsy Imaging Centre at Tojo University Hospital which will help to determine the cause of death through the use of MRIs and CTs on any dead body. While investigating the truth, the pair of Taguchi Kohei and Shiratori Keisuke close in on the dark side of the sloppy autopsy system. Synopsis

Synopsis

11 customers are invited to an Italian restaurant, Osteria Da Vinci, on its opening day and get embroiled in an arson murder that takes place there. Why was that restaurant targeted? Who is the criminal and what is the objective? There were at least nine customers at the time of the incident. There are a total of six victims, including the deceased and those injured. But from the situation at the scene, the possibility emerges that several guests had quietly disappeared. It is a case with many puzzles. The unconventional detective Tono (Sato Koichi) interviews the owner and chef, Yagisawa (Narimiya Hiroki), and the other confirmed survivors (Kuroki Hitomi, Ishiguro Ken, Nishiyama Teruyuki, Adachi Yumi, Hongo Kanata, Nakao Akira) to reveal the truth of the case.
